How to use the platform.
Students join a game in seconds. Teachers go from the book to a live quiz, and see exactly what each class has learned.
For students: join a game
On any phone, tablet or laptop. No account, no app.

Open the join page
Go to cs42.org/play.html, or scan the QR code on the big screen.

Type the PIN
The 6-digit number on the big screen. The QR code or your teacher's link fills it in for you.

Pick your name
Colour + Animal + Number, like "Blue Falcon 7". If your teacher asks, add your student ID (your number on the class list).

Register with your moe.gov.ae or moe.sch.ae email, then open the link in the email we send you (check Junk the first time).

On Host a quiz, choose the subject and grade, then narrow down to a learning outcome. Every question shows its answers: untick Show answers when your screen is on the projector. In a hurry? Auto-pick chooses a balanced set for you.
Host a quizChoose the class and how to play
Pick the class (or add one), then Live, Self-paced or Assignment (see below), and press the main button: Create game, Publish quiz or Assign. The quiz is saved for next time.
Students join, you press Start
The big screen shows the QR code and the PIN. When everyone is in, press Start. Copy join link lets students at home join too.

Each class has its page: its quizzes, what's open now, every result and each student ID. Copy to a class gives a quiz to another class.

For your quizzes: averages, the hardest questions with the most common wrong answer, and % correct per learning outcome.

Questions people ask
A student can't join.
Check the PIN on the big screen and the student's internet connection. Students don't need to be on the school Wi-Fi. A game that has already ended can't be joined.
The confirmation email didn't arrive.
Look in Junk or Spam. Still nothing? Email us and we'll confirm your account.
I don't have an MOE email address.
Email us to ask for access.
Can I use the same quiz with another class?
Yes: press Copy to a class in My quizzes or on a class page. Each class keeps its own results.
Do you keep students' names?
No. Students play with a nickname. The student ID is optional: it shows next to the nickname in the game and in the teacher's reports.
