We don't collect any personal data. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no third-party services. Your saved mixes, breathing history, and preferences stay on your device.
CS42.org ("we", "us", "our") built the Sukoon app as a free application. This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal data. Sukoon is designed with privacy at its core. The App:
- Does not require account creation or login.
- Does not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information.
- Does not track your location.
- Does not access your contacts, photos, camera or microphone, and never reads anything from Apple Health.
- If you turn on Apple Health, it saves each completed breathing session to Health as Mindful Minutes. That is the only thing it writes, and nothing is sent to us.
- If you turn on the daily reminder, it is a local notification scheduled on your device. No server is involved.
- Does not use cookies or tracking technologies.
- Makes no network connections. All sounds are bundled and playback works fully offline.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Sukoon stores your preferences and activity locally on your device using standard iOS storage, including:
- Saved sound mixes and per-track volume settings.
- Your chosen theme and last-used breathing pattern.
- Custom breathing rhythms you create.
- Breathing session history and your streak, session count, mindful minutes, and breath totals.
- The one-tap check-in after each session (same, softer or calm).
- A copy of your streak and theme, shared with Sukoon's own widgets on your device.
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. It exists only to power the app's features for you.
3. Analytics & Third-Party Services
Sukoon does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use services such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar tools.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share any data with third parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data to share, sell, or transfer to anyone.
5. Children's Privacy
Sukoon does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is rated 9+. It contains no objectionable content, and the rating reflects the self-care and wellness guidance it offers.
6. Apple App Store
When you download Sukoon from the App Store, Apple may collect certain information as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. This data collection is governed by Apple and is outside our control.
7. Data Retention
All user preferences are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data. We have no servers storing any user data.
8. Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete on our end. You can clear all App data at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
