Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 3, 2026 · Last updated: October 3, 2026
Everything stays on your phone. Lamma has no accounts, no servers and no analytics, and it never connects to the internet. We collect nothing, so there is nothing to sell, share or delete.
CS42.org ("we", "us", "our") built Lamma as a game for family gatherings. This policy explains what the app keeps and where it goes. The short version: it stays on your device. Lamma has no accounts, no servers and no analytics, and it contains no code that sends your data anywhere.
1. What We Collect
Nothing. We operate no servers for the app and receive no data from it. We cannot see the names you add, the questions you play or save, or how often you play.
2. What the App Stores on Your Device
- Family names: the first names you add for Your Turn (up to 24), so the app can hand the phone to each person by name.
- Saved questions: the questions you mark with the heart.
- Play history: which questions your family has already seen, so they don't repeat, and the last gathering's deck and position, so you can continue it.
- Preferences: app language, numerals, kid-friendly mode, depth levels, text size and haptics.
None of it is transmitted. It is not included in any account, because there is no account.
3. No Permissions Needed
Lamma does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location, and it does not send notifications.
4. Sharing Is Always Your Choice
Nothing is shared automatically. When you share a saved question as a picture or as text, the picture is made on your device and iOS hands it to whichever app you pick. From that point that app's privacy policy applies.
5. No Tracking, No Ads, No Third-Party SDKs
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting services and no tracking identifiers. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not "track" you as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
6. Purchases
If the app offers optional purchases, they are processed by Apple. We never receive your name, Apple ID or payment details.
7. Children
Lamma is made to be played by whole families, children included. Because we collect no data at all, we hold no personal information about anyone, including children.
8. Your Control and Your Rights
- Edit or remove family names in Settings at any time.
- Clear saved questions and Reset seen questions are in Settings, under Data.
- Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
There is no request to make of us under GDPR, CCPA or similar laws, because we hold nothing to disclose, correct or erase.
9. Data Retention
We retain nothing, for any period. The app keeps the items above on your device until you clear them or delete the app.
10. Security
What the app stores is protected by your device's own security: your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS app sandboxing.
11. International Users
No data is transferred anywhere, so no international data transfer takes place.
12. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the dates at the top change with it, and material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
