Why “Sukoon”
One small circle, one long pause.
سُكُونْ
sukoon/su·koon/ · Arabic · noun
- Stillness; calm; the quiet after movement stops.
- The small circle written over a letter to say: no vowel, no motion, just pause.
Sukoon started with a simple wish: to put together our own mix of nature sounds, with a say over every one of them.
Nothing we tried quite did that, so we made it. The recordings are a small collection, picked one by one. There are no ads and no account, and we mean to keep it that way.
Whether you want to focus, unwind or drift off to sleep, we hope it helps you find your calm.
