CS42.org ("we", "us", "our") built Lamma as a game for family gatherings. This policy explains what the app keeps and where it goes. The short version: it stays on your device. Lamma has no accounts, no servers and no analytics, and it contains no code that sends your data anywhere.
1. What We Collect
Nothing. We operate no servers for the app and receive no data from it. We cannot see the names you add, the questions you play or save, or how often you play.
2. What the App Stores on Your Device
- Family names: the first names you add for Your Turn (up to 24), so the app can hand the phone to each person by name.
- Saved questions: the questions you mark with the heart.
- Play history: which questions your family has already seen and when, so they don't repeat; a short log of past gatherings (the date, the deck, the number of cards and the mode), used to show your last gathering on the home screen; and the round in progress, with its players' names, so you can continue it.
- Preferences: app language, numerals, kid-friendly mode, depth levels, text size and haptics.
None of it is transmitted. It is not included in any account, because there is no account. Like any app's data, it can be part of your own device backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have backups turned on.
3. No Permissions Needed
Lamma does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location, and it does not send notifications.
4. Sharing Is Always Your Choice
Nothing is shared automatically. When you share a saved question as a picture or as text, the picture is made on your device and iOS hands it to whichever app you pick. From that point that app's privacy policy applies.
5. No Tracking, No Ads, No Third-Party SDKs
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting services and no tracking identifiers. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not "track" you as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
6. No Purchases
Lamma is free, with no in-app purchases: every deck is included in full. The app handles no payment information of any kind.
7. Children
Lamma is made to be played by whole families, children included. Because we collect no data at all, we hold no personal information about anyone, including children.
8. Your Control and Your Rights
- Edit or remove family names in Settings at any time.
- Clear saved questions and Reset seen questions are in Settings, under Data.
- The log of past gatherings has no reset button of its own; deleting the app removes it.
- Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
There is no request to make of us under GDPR, CCPA or similar laws, because we hold nothing to disclose, correct or erase.
9. Data Retention
We retain nothing, for any period. The app keeps the items above on your device until you clear them or delete the app.
10. Security
What the app stores is protected by your device's own security: your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS app sandboxing.
11. International Users
No data is transferred anywhere, so no international data transfer takes place.
12. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the dates at the top change with it, and material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
